Birch Essential Oil

Birch is native to southern Canada and south-eastern USA; produced mainly in Pennsylvania.
It is used as a counter-irritant, for pain relief (especially nerve pain, arthritis and joint problems) and to reduce inflammation.
The bark has been used to promote sweating and as a general stimulant. This has been said to be helpful for genito-urinary irritation.
Used as a flavoring in chewing gum, very similar to wintergreen as a flavor.
Essential Oils are the volatile liquid ‘intelligence’ of the herb, tree, spice, flower, citrus, grass or resin from which they are derived. Essential Oils communicate to the plant the information needed for survival.
